The last survey was conducted in November and December 2023, when the economic development agency, in cooperation with the cities and municipalities, surveyed 1,353 companies with more than 5 employees. 283 companies completed the online questionnaire and highlighted the strengths and weaknesses in the district of Verden: the supra-regional road connections were rated as very good, while the rail connections, local amenities and Life in the countryside were rated as "good". Factors such as the availability of skilled workers, the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and the availability of external process heat were cited as weaknesses. The results of the surveys are incorporated into tailor-made funding programs and measures.
