In fact, Stadtwerke Achim has been around for over 115 years. The company still fulfills its original mission today: to bring light to Achim's streets and reliably supply the community with gas. This also applies to the district heating network around the combined heat and power plant, which Stadtwerke Achim has been diligently expanding since 1982. The first public photovoltaic systems were added in 2007, and today products relating to photovoltaics, heat pumps and energy consulting complement the portfolio of Stadtwerke Achim, which, as a customer-friendly energy supplier and service provider, offers everything that matters.

Stadtwerke Achim offers many exciting positions - and therefore opportunities to continuously develop your skills and take on more responsibility. Jonas Korb, Head of the Renewable Energy Department, completed a dual degree in business administration with a focus on energy management after training as an industrial clerk and gaining experience in purchasing and materials management. After just one year as a clerk, he took on a management position. Jonas Korb: "I am delighted to be able to take responsibility for my own department with three employees after such a short time." Like Jonas, many Stadtwerke Achim employees have taken advantage of individual development opportunities and made a successful career at Stadtwerke Achim.
