Buss stands for delicious ready meals and offers a wide range of

Real pleasure

Buss produces delicious ready meals. The products impress with their variety and quality, so there is something to suit every taste. As a specialist in convenience meals, the Ottersberg-based company produces its innovative and sustainable dishes entirely in Germany. The aim is to make cooking as easy and enjoyable as possible - and to give people more free time. Buss relies on high-quality and healthy ingredients, regardless of whether the food is canned, in a bowl or as a chilled ready meal. The experts are constantly optimizing the lovingly developed recipes to offer a unique taste experience.

Tradition for more than 70 years

The beginnings of Buss ready meals go back to Diedrich Buß's butcher's store in Bremen. As early as 1938, he specialized in canned food and thus laid the foundation for the company, which today employs 480 people. Industrial Manufacture began in 1955 with a meat factory in Zeven, making Buss one of the most modern food companies for ready meals in Germany. The Ottersberg-based company has been part of heristo ag since 1975. With an extensive range of products from traditional to Far Eastern and from stews to desserts, Buss guarantees the excellent taste of its ready meals.

Of course, a lot of our work revolves around the product. But it's mainly the different characters that make up my everyday life. And the family atmosphere.

In order to continue on this successful path, Buss trains the specialists of tomorrow itself every year. With an in-house trainer, the apprentices receive competent guidance. They get to know the different areas and specialize based on their strengths and interests - with guaranteed employment, of course. Apprentice meetings with other companies and events within the heristo network offer an exciting and instructive environment.

From the warehouse and Logistics to the kitchen and quality assurance, Buss is always looking to strengthen its team of almost 500 people. In addition to an attractive salary package including vacation and Christmas bonuses and 30 vacation days, the company offers a flexible working time account that is filled with ten days off during the year. Modern workplaces offer a pleasant environment that leaves room for innovation and personal responsibility. Holistic sustainability strategy

As part of heristo ag, Buss Fertiggerichte is committed to a sustainable business model. For the family-owned company, the conservation of resources and a focus on values form the basis of its actions. In addition to laws and regulations, this includes human rights, work ethics and environmental protection. As a company in the food industry, Buss also attaches great importance to animal welfare and species-appropriate husbandry. The proportion of organic products is being continuously increased, water consumption and the need for packaging material are being reduced and palm oil has been avoided for several years.
